Results

Twenty-four teams cleared Checkpoint 3 and earned a pitch. They are split across three online heats, eight teams each, judged by two independent judges per heat. The top two from every heat go through — six finalists pitch live at NIC Islamabad. The finale is on Friday 18 September, 3:00–6:00 PM.

How it was judged

Every team got the same four minutes to pitch and three minutes of questions. Both judges in a heat scored independently, on the same six questions, without seeing each other's marks. A team's heat score is the mean of the two.

The six questions

  1. Is the problem real, significant, and worth solving?
  2. Does the solution meaningfully address the problem?
  3. Is there evidence that customers/users outside the team actually want it?
  4. Is there a credible path to becoming a viable business?
  5. Was the pitch clear, compelling, and convincing?
  6. Do you believe this team can execute?

The scoring

  • ScaleEach question is scored 1 to 5 — 5 excellent, 4 good, 3 fair, 2 weak, 1 poor.
  • MaximumSix questions, so a single judge can award at most 30.
  • Heat scoreThe mean of the two judges' totals, out of 30.
  • AdvancingThe top two teams in each heat go to the finale.
  • Format4-minute pitch, 3 minutes of questions, live on Google Meet.
  • WeightThe pitch is worth 30% of a team's Builder Score for the season.
